FDA ROCKS VAPOR INDUSTRY WITH SWEEPING REGULATIONS
The 499-page document places all vapor products under the jurisdiction of the Tobacco Control Act of 2007. Under the changes, vapor products including e-liquid containing no nicotine, will be held to the same requirements. Numerous vaping advocacy groups have already denounced the regulations. The American VapingAssociation, in a statement, referred to the regulations as “downright prohibition.”

LAVA President / Owner of Crescent City Clouds
Crescent City Clouds is a New Orleans based vapor company, established late 2013 as
a way for vapors to find unique, New Orleans crafted flavors. His hopes were to bring a safer
alternative to traditional cigarettes for his co workers in the film industry. The passion of helping others has always played a huge role in his life and business decisions.
When the New Orleans City Council decided that they wanted to categorize vaping in with smoking and would add vaping to the new smoking ban in Orleans Parish, Chris along with other shop owners testified against this ban. Chris is a founding board member of LAVA, the Louisiana Vaping Association. This was the first step in uniting stakeholders in the vaping industry within Louisiana.
Chris was voted in as President, where he has held that title since LAVA’s inception in early 2015. He has been active in trying to unite all shops and manufacturers to advocate for vaping as a healthier alternative to smoking. As an advocate he has met with lawmakers, secretaries of revenues, and worked closely with lobbyists in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
By December of 2013, he opened Covington’s first brick and mortar vape shop selling the latest hardware, highend Authentics, and introducing the area to designer liquids made by various companies in the industry.
Jacob is a former smoker that was quick to spot the promise vaping has for getting the public away from using traditional cigarettes.
Jacob is married to his wife Diana Saenz and has two children. Jacob is also part of his local Chamber of Commerce, LAVA, and SFATA.
